Experimental Animation Research
(Video takes a while to start) I found this on youtube with short clips of experiments in animation. I could use some of these as inspiration - but make it my own of course.
Experimental Animation - Skeleton dance?
I'm thinking for one of my 20 second animations that I could use cotton buds and animate a skeleton dance. I've got all the pieces ready to do it, I just hope it goes well. I am quite looking forward to experimenting with this as i have never used cotton buds to animate before.
I found this photo online when I was looking at cotton bud crafts.
Experimental Animation
A few pages from my experimental sketchbook, just playing with photos from magazines and colours and finding inspiration from films etc.

Painting from storyboard
Digital painting using Krita. Based on my original black and white frame from my 'Spirit Bear' storyboard from the first semester. I spoke to my tutor as I was really struggling with drawing trees so the trees here are quite poor. However, I do think that as a small picture, it looks really effective and you can clearly see where I have tried to show depth in the drawing.
Parallax

I didn't really know what to do for the parallax but then I finally decided that I wanted to create quite a silent, mellow scene where not much is going on so this is my finished piece. I think it could definitely be better but with the limited amount of time I have and the amount of work I have to do, I think this is good enough. I am actually really pleased with this as I wasn't sure how I would interpret depth into the composition but I just took it one step at a time and kept building the colours and eventually it turned out okay. I did this on Krita which I am absolutely obsessed with at the moment.
